Dylan, Bob – The Never Ending Narrative 1990 – 2006 by Bob Dylan
Reviews
P. Jackson –
Very scant actual Bob Dylan music or Dylan footage or photos or discussion of his poetry/lyrics. The whole video is a few men guessing or projecting meaning onto Bob’s musical and career choices, stuff prob only Dylan could know, or those very close to him. With the exception of one guy, none seem to have any actual expertise on Dylan – they are just fans posing a some sort of enlightened critics. Very disappointing.
Chacodog –
If you are seeking to hear complete renditions of Dylan’s songs, avoid this film and spin your vinyl. If you are looking for competent and insightful commentary on the career of Dylan, this is the place to be.Though this film covers the period of Dylan’s career that I am probably least interested in, I still found it engaging and learned a number of things from the commentary. Well worth the watch.
