What a great album NS is for me. I’ve heard people say they don’t like this “cornpone” music…oh well, I love this collection and I highly recommend it. The songs are gentle and sweet, with a little laughter thrown in. Bob is the best for me, hands down, over all the rest. Not that I don’t like anyone else’s music, but it’s usually Bobby singing in my kitchen. So, come on down, grab a cuppa my famous joe (some call it INfamous, LOL) and we can set a spell and listen to some of the best music there is, Mr. Bobby D. Whichever is your favorite Bob Dylan album, chances are I’ve got it!

disliked by many at the time it came out: too country then, just as his early rock phase was too electric for the folksters. always, always his own best ear, his own true reflection on his dance with the world around him. this has so many good songs on it, ones that hearken back to the ‘standards’ of earlier times, for their memorable melodies and lyrics–in my mind ‘i threw it all away’ is better than the ‘hit’ ‘lay lady lay’. stars and icons like elvis and michael jackson don’t hold a candle to this man. he’s not everyone’s cup of tea–his voice is a chameleon, anywhere from rust to satin, but never velvet. still: oh, bobby! love to spend the night with bobby d.
