Avid concert poster collector, Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, announces his search for original 1965 Bob Dylan boxing style concert posters. Dylan played 72 concerts in 1965. According to Hawley, “This was a heady time for Dylan. After releasing four acoustic albums, he had become known as the spokesman of a generation.
In late spring, he traveled to England and Scandinavia to play his last acoustic folk only shows. When he got back to the States, things changed on July 25 at the Newport Folk Festival when Dylan pulled out an electric guitar and went electric. Half of his fans loved it, and the other half hated it. He recorded three albums that year – “Bring It Back Home”, “Highway 61 Revisited”, and “Blonde on Blonde”. These albums are still considered important and influential today.”
